Hi everyone! My name is Karen. My 37 year career in electrolysis began in 1978. I had a vigorous, medically based training at Lucy Perter’s International in NYC. It was there I reaped the benefits of being able to work on a vast variety of cases. After working at LPI for over 3 years, I took a position with Allana of New York in 1980, where I worked until 1985. While at, Allana I performed Electrolysis treatments and was assigned to the task of training of new operators. Working in those NYC offices was exciting. The finest dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and endocrinologists in NY referred their patients to us. As a matter of fact, we were very often publicized in major magazines like Vogue, Self, and GQ.
In 1985 I moved to Long Island where I began to raise a family. It was there I was encouraged by a Long Island client to build a practice. I decided to build that practice in Deer Park.
Even though I initially worried about my Long Island location being a logistical issue for some, people have traveled great distances for Electrolysis treatments with me for the last 30 years. They have even traveled from out-of-state. I have always been grateful for the opportunity to serve these clients and their families; in many instances I have treated four generations!
Electrolysis is an intimate service and has always been hugely gratifying. You get to help people who are concerned about their personal appearance and in the process possibly form a bond that can last a lifetime.
